Samsung Galaxy S 4 launching in April 2013 » Google Play News

If what we have heard is true, the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be available in markets as early as April 2013. The most notable change in the phone is the inclusion of the S-Pen stylus. This most probably means that there will be no more upcoming releases in the Note series. This phone is being released to with the sole purpose of competing with other similar phones that are being released by multiple other platforms such as HTC, Sony, ZTE and Huawei.

If rumors are to be believed, this new phone will be shipped along with the new Exynos quad core 5440 chip of samsung. This chip uses the ARM big little processing systems with an A7 and A15 processor for basic and complex tasks respectively. The phone will be a little thicker than the Galaxy S3 but that is mainly because of the huge 13 MP camera on the back. The battery too will be a little bigger which was expected as the battery life on Samsung phones is among the best in the industry.

Word in the market is that the Galaxy S4 will be running on the new Android 5.0 (Key Lime Pie) operating system. Can’t wait to see how it works. Add to this a 2.0 Ghz quad core processor and 1080p AMOLED edge to edge display. If this is not enough to keep you excited this next feature will. The Galaxy S4 is slated to come with a projected keyboard dock in the box which allows you to project a keyboard onto a flat surface. This is indeed revolutionary and something that we will all be looking forward to.

It does seem strange that Samsung have made it a point to release a new version of their Galaxy phones every year, some may put this down to their dissatisfaction with the previous model while others feel that the reason for this is the rapid pace at which new phones and softwares are being released nowadays. They probably feel that it is best to stay on top so that they do not fade into the background like some other mobile giants of the past
