Sony unveils Xperia tipo in India » Google Play News

Finally, the wait ends in the Indian market, as Sony has unveiled its trendy Smartphone – Xperia tipo in India. At the launch of this Smartphone, Kenichiro Hibi (Sony’s MD in India) expressed the company’s plan to increase its shareholding in the Indian market. He also added about expanding the network of Xperia store in the market soon. Our sources tell us that company’s retail outlet will increase from 10,400 to 16,000 while its service center will rise by 40% by the end of current financial year. Like traditional Sony phones, Xperia Tipo will too try to lure the audience with its fascinating music capabilities. Especially, the youth market will surely get swayed towards it.

Sony Xperia Tipo specifications

Sony Xperia Tipo runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS with 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 512MB RAM. Its 3.2 inch touch screen has been properly shaped to lure you in. The device comes with 2.5 GB internal storage which can be extended to a maximum of 32 GB by microSD. In addition to all the other traditional stuff, Sony is offering 50 GB of cloud storage in Xperia Tipo. Sony has made a pact with Vodafone in which Sony Xperia Tipo buyers will get 500 MB downloading free for first three months. Sony Xperia Tipo has been launched in four different colors: black, white, red and blue. It is endowed with smart connectivity features which support Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, Wi-fi 802.11, etc. It’s multimedia features are also at par.

Sony Xperia Tipo: Special features

Sony has launched the dual SIM version of this Smartphone as well – Xperia Tipo Dual. Sony has given an external button in this version to switch between the SIMs. Rest of the features are more or less same in both the versions. You can buy Sony Xperia Tipo at a price of 9,999 INR, while Sony Xperia Tipo Dual will cost you 10,499 INR in the retail outlet. Xperia Tipo is ready to square with Samsung Galaxy Ace and HTC Desire C.
