CLEANING THE CACHE 

The first thing that you should do (this is usually the problem) is to clean your cache. This basically deletes all the temporary data on your smart phone which you don’t need. You can download the Android Assistant available at the Play Store for helping you with this. Do not misunderstand though, this app will only clean the temporary data that is not being used. It will not remove the app from your smart phone.

TITANIUM BACKUP

There are quite a few apps that come pre-installed from the phone companies and although you don’t use most of them, you cannot close or delete them and they tend to take up a lot of space. You can try a handy app called Titanium Backup which, although it does cost a few dollars at the play store, will freeze these apps so that they don’t use any more resources or space on your smart phone. If you cannot differentiate between the required and added apps you can search google with your phone model. This usually gives you a good picture of what to keep and what to get rid of.

Another way in which you can improve the performance of your smart phone is by minimizing the amount of content you put on your home screens. Although we are all tempted to use all the available space to personalize the phone to our liking, this does eat up a lot of the resources of the phone and if you can minimize your use of home screens you should be able to get a great boost in your phone’s speed.
